For every blog post written TopAlarmSystem.com will donate $25 for tornado relief on March 1, 2012 to the Christian Service Mission in Birmingham, Alabama.
Donations made so far:
Thousands of people, including family and friends of several of our employees, were affected by the tornadoes of 2011. However, these unfortunate events have planted the seeds for many stories of hope and compassion.
For every blog post written about the tornadoes that have recently affected the state of Alabama, we will donate $25 to the Christian Service Mission in Birmingham. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for this great charity. Even if you were not directly affected by these disasters, still write and help us raise money to rebuild the lives of those affected.
Tracy Hipps, executive director of the Christian Service Mission said: "We don't ask what people's beliefs are, or talk about what theological differences they have... we're talking about helping our brothers in need."
After the 2011 tornadoes the Christian Service Mission mobilized 15,000 volunteers and distributed at least 10 million dollars worth of donated items. When they first started their relief efforts on April 28, 2011 they only had 12 pallets of bottled water; within 8 weeks they had gathered and distributed over 400 pallets of donated water to those in need. Christian Service Mission has also helped with the victims of Joplin, Missouri and shipped over 14,000 pounds of donated supplies to Haiti.
Rebuilding Homes: This phase of recovery requires reconstruction and refurbishing homes with personal items.
